- What if we stopped subsidizing the parents who don't work ( two or three generations worth), actually got them to volunteer somewhere ( your school, perhaps?) before they received a check and got back to insuring that it starts at home.

- Capt'n. Ummmm, isn't that what is happening? Tax the rich to make these programs happen?? The liberal mantra.... let those who make so much give to those who have so little. So in essence the "rich" are funding the programs at the school... just a thought.
Is it appropriate for President Barack Obama to lobby for Chicago to become the host city for the 2016 Summer Olympic Games?

- Blue--- According to all major news outlets, He raised money for Clinton's presidential bid, Kerry's presidential bid and Obama's presidential bid. Reckon he gave money to REPUBLICANS? INDEPENDENTS?? He was the National Finance Chairman for democratic candidates, for crying out loud.

- How can you pay for a road with Tax money, raise taxes to maintain it and then charge the tax payer to use it? Don't they buy the right of ways by using the public domain argument, use tax money to buy the property and then charge the tax payer to use it?

- Didn't have an issue with having a president welcome kids back to school or challenge them to study hard. I had a huge issue with the white house adding the proposal that teachers assign kids papers about what they could do to help the president.

I agree with you!!! All these smart alecs think they're so cute with their comments. How can they consider the political issues when they miss the real character Sarah Palin has demonstrated through all of this. Alaska is better because of everything she has done. She has the real stuff americans have always been proud of in the end. I'm for her all the way and you too for sticking up for her. RIGHT ON!!!
